Tibetan New Year Celebration
LOSAR
Friday 12 February to Sunday 14 February 2010
Customers and staff at SOPHEA Gallery & Tibetan Teahouse celebrating 2009 Losar
Please join us in celebrating the Tibetan New Year which falls on 14 February this year, coinciding with Valentine's day and therefore gives cause for double celebrations. During these 3 days of celebration, we will be serving free Tibetan Butter tea and Khapses. A sweet bread/cake normally baked at Tibetan New Year. And, in keeping with our own tradition at Sophea Gallery & Tibetan Teahouse these past 8 years, we will open up the prayer wheels at our gate and stairs to insert the personal prayers, blessings and/or wishes of everyone visiting us during Losar. Whenever anyone thereafter spins the prayer wheels, your prayers, blessings and wishes will be re-activated and energized and continue to carry your good intention. So write them down and bring them along.
We will also, during the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, randomly perform our Lui ceremony using traditional Tibetan musical instruments. This is to clear any negative energy of the past year and call in positive energy for the new year. Please join us. We look forward to celebrating Losar with you.
TASHI DELEK!
MAY WE WISH YOU A FANTASTIC NEW YEAR
